All scanners work through very low Radio Frequency Identification (known as RFID). We have a selection of pocket scanners that are perfect for checking the chip inside your pet should you be travelling abroad, breeders who wish to distinguish one puppy or kitten from another, or reading chips in pets of unknown origin, vetting in at shows, checking horses and horse tack and even reading the chip inside a sheep. We specialise in microchipping equipment so we supply all sorts of interesting bespoke scanners to zoos, koi carp clubs and fishing lakes. For example, our PetScan is used to check the chip in rhinos in Zimbabwe – now that’s tough work! Check out which one is in your budget range and suitable application. All our pocket scanners work on a simple 9 volt alkaline (not zinc) battery and all have a one year Warranty against manufacturing faults.
